3 out of 5 people found this review helpful. Verdi is a cozy and romantic restaurant with the best service and the most friendly staff. Take your date or your family and friends if you want to be pampered and impressive all at once. You will enjoy their exquisite dishes with excellent presentation, not to mention their great selection of wines.
I recommend this place.

2 out of 6 people found this review helpful. Last night I placed an order for takeout at Verdi restaurant over the telephone. About 20 minutes later I arrived at the restaurant and waited for someone to assist me. Moments later a group of three people entered the restaurant and stood behind me in the line. The Manager of the restaurant (I believe his name is Giovanni) walked over to where we were standing, completely ignored me and acknowledged the three individuals standing behind me. I spoke up and said that I was waiting for a takeout order. The Manager still completely ignored me and continued to assist the three people behind me, getting menus for them, etc. Again I said, "Excuse me, I am waiting for a takeout order". After all, I arrived at the restaurant prior to the group of three behind me and my presence still had not been acknowledged. At this point the Manager turned to me and said, in a fairly rude and hasty tone, "The kitchen is very busy tonight. I will get your order when it is ready." Now I have to tell you that the last time I was at Verdi (to dine in) this same Manager was rude then too, knocking into me, (then 8 months pregnant), and not apologizing as he walked over to serve a table. So based on past experience and his being rude to me tonight, I'm fuming mad. I walked over to a server who was seated in a chair and asked what this rude person's name was. That's when I found out he was the Manager of the restaurant. I told the server that I thought the Manager was extremely rude. At that moment the server put his head down, completely ignoring me, and continued to calculate the bill he was working on. I tried to continue my conversation with the server, asking if the restaurant was owner managed and the server acted as if he didn't know and it was obvious to me that the server did not want to talk to me. At this point I determined that I was no longer interested in the takeout order and turned to leave. The server quickly got the Manager's attention and the Manager followed me to the door saying "Your food is ready, your food is ready". I turned and told the Manager that I thought he was extremely rude, explained why and told him I didn't want the food any more. After all this the Manager never once apologized or offered any explanation of any sort.
Based on my last two visits to Verdi and the consistent rude behaviour exhibited by the Manager I will not go to Verdi any more and will advise all my friends and associates to do the same.

I do not recommend this place.

4 out of 4 people found this review helpful. We went for dinner last night and it was excellent.
My husband had the fish special, a chilean sea bass.
I had the fettucine verdi. Fantastic taste, beautiful presentation.
Don't overlook their house bruschetta as an appetizer, which they serve with chevre.

I recommend this place.
