Forgot to add in my previous review that this store is NOT a member of the Better Business Bureau so be advised when dealing with them. The Better Business Bureau has attempted to resolve difficulties with other customers who also lodged complaints against this operation and the Better Business Bureau was unsucessful. Check the website before giving this store a full deposit.

Never in my 50 years have I received such poor service from any operation I have dealt with. It is absolutely amazing that these people are able to live with themselves as they continue to totally disregard the most basic dictates of customer service. They never call you back, they are not willing to tell you why your order is weeks or months late or give you any basic information to make you feel confident that they are a first rate operation. They insist on all money up front (a glaring signal of a third rate operation) and then offer no after service whatsoever. I would advise all customers to stay away from this place. I can only empathize with anyone that has given this operation a lot of money under the mistaken assumption that they will actually get some real service in return or even get the product they paid for.

I had a similar bad experience with 4U furniture too. They don't really deliver their promises to their customers. When they say I will call you tonight or I will call you tomorrow. It doesn't mean anything!!! I already provided my phone number to them many many times to have them call me back to resolve the problem with Sofa. The tactic they use is customers will be tired of following up with them one day and eventually will give up. I had a bad experience with 4 U Furniture and will neither return there, nor recommend it to anyone else. After a long search we finally found an extendable glass top table. The salesperson, Marely Gow repeated several times that the table we were looking at came in a smaller size 35" by 35" which was exactly the size we needed. We still had to pay the same price as for the 35" by 52" table, because apparently the smaller size was not on sale. The table had to be paid in full before they would order it, but we were reassured that they would call us in 4 weeks when the table was ready for pick up. After 4 weeks past by, I called the store to inquire about my order. The person who answered could not tell me anything but said that she would find out the details and call back. Two days passed by without any news from the store. We decided to go directly and discovered that they had ordered instead the larger table that was on their display (35" by 52"). The salesperson tried to tell us that this particular table came only in the dispayed size and tried to sell us other of their tables. As we did not like the other tables we requested refund and the problems began. We were told that because I paid by Debit Card they could not refund me. Their accountant was going to write me a cheque. I asked if I could have the money refunded on my credit card, but apparently neither the salesperson nor the manager had an access card to authorize the refund on my credit card. Two weeks passed by and their accountant did not make it to the store and did not write the cheque. I called several times to inquire,every time the salesperson Marely Gow took my telephone number and reassured me that she will follow up and call me back to let me know when I could pick up the cheque. I never received a call back from her and had to go back to the store. When I asked to speak to the owner Henry Boukema, I was told that he was in China. I went 3 more times to the store without any success in obtaining my refund. Upon examination of my receipt and invoice, I noticed that the invoice was from 4 U Furniture, but the debit card transaction receipt was from Boukema's Bath and Bedding. I continued to call the store. Finally, Marely Gow told me that she would transfer the money to my Credit Card and the transaction was going to take about 3 to 4 business days. The stated time passed by and there was still no refund. The credit card company told me that if I had paid by credit card they could launch an investigation. I went again to 4 U Furniture and this time told them that for every day delay in receiving my refund, I would spend one hour informing the public of my experience with them. They told me that the transaction was already done, but they could not provide me with any transaction number or record. Two days later they called me and gave me the transaction number for the refund and 3 days later the refund finally appeared on my credit card. There are always two sides to every story, especially when they are posted on the web. My future in-laws bought my fiancée and I beautiful bedroom set from 4U Furniture Inc. It took a few days to get the set, but when we did we were really happy with it. The delivery men were very courteous and put together our bedroom set quickly and placed everything where we wanted it. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for something a little different than going to a big box furniture store and getting the same furnishings as the person that is living next door to you. BEWARE of this store!!!My experience so far has been nothing but unpleasant. I purchased a glass dinner table from this store in April and after a delay in delivery, received a defective product (when put together, one leg was different in angle). With not much resistance, they agreed to replace it. However, the other table, once delivered, was severely scratched. This is when I decided to return the product all together. The personnel there was extremely rude, confrontational and deceitful. The manager (Kim) refused to stand behind the quality of her products and was clearly indifferent about general satisfaction of her customers. After numerous phone calls and days of negotiations, she finally agreed to issue the refund. Although the table was picked up by them sometimes in early May,I am still waiting for my money back ($683.99). It's been a couple of months and so far they've given me every excuse in the book as to why this is still pending. With so many unsatisfied customers, how is it that this store is still in business? It is worth mentioning that at the time of purchase, they issued a receipt dated in 2006. When confronted about this, it was blamed on the computer system. Is it really a glitch in the system or are they trying to scam the government for taxes? I will never shop here again! I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Ordered a bed, side tables, entertainment unit and dresser. Paid for the dresser and ent unit which matched the bed and side tables. Got the run around for 1 year and never did get the bed and side tables. The owner's were deceitful. If you want great service with even better products and prices, go to 'The Bali Collection'

I can relate to Barbara's experience. It almost mirrors our experience exactly. My wife and I ordered a bedroom set, side tables, ent unit and dresser. We paid for the ent unit and dresser and waited over 1 year for the bed and side tables which we never did receive. The owners were very deceitful and dishonest. The furniture sells itself and that is the only way they stay in business. An unbelievably bad experience.

the furniture is lovely, but who wants to go to a store, pick out a beautiful bedroom set, pay for it in full, and then good luck actually getting it delivered to you!! I paid for my set in full, and have been screwed around trying to get it delivered, and the lady at the store has an attitude with me!!! i'm the paying customer, where does she get off??!! I absolutely DO NOT recommend anyone gives them anymore business!!
