I had the similar experience with Thomas, although his was back in Oct 2006, now is March 2008, I guess it's the same person that we are referring to. I dropped off the DVDs 4 hours late, and I have to pay a penalty of $2.25, while I was inquiring about how that happened and what should I do to protect from being penalized again (e.g check in the DVDs with the staff?)the manager was speaking in a tone of voice that is belittling and UN-helpful. Yes, I have been a customer there for quite some times, but their staffs always have a poker face when they are on duties, especially 'the manager' with orange beard. $2.25 is a small price to pay, but hiring someone working at the front line with a collector attitude? A hefty price will be paid I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

Along with Bay Street Video and Revue Video on the Danforth, this Video store is one of the best for selection. I agree with Darin's review except that I would not call the staff friendly. They are very efficient but have a blank look and don't seem to recognize or acknowledge multi-repeat customers. But then again, in Toronto, in most stores, you can go there 365 days a year and the staff would never acknowledge that fact. 365 days a year, I am exaggerating of course but you get the message. Having said that, upon reading Thomas's story, it is obvious that the "idiot" and "arrogant prick", it's he. I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

I think "THOMAS" above is just pissed he didn't remember to return his movies on time and is choosing to blame someone else but himself. This store is better than any other retail in the area. They have a GREAT selection of both popular movies, foreign and independent films, not to mention all the hottest (no so hot) TV shows. HEY, and if you're into porn, they have a large selection of that too (both gay and straight). The people behind the counter are always courteous and friendly. Maybe 'THOMAS' is too use to Blockbuster's "NO LATE FEES"; tough. And sure, 7-24 doesn't buy in bulk like Blockbuster, so you may not have 50 copies of 'Snakes on a Plane', but they usually have about 10 -15 copies. Besides, it's also conveniently located by a Pizza Pizza & Wine Rack so you and your special someone can pick up a movie, grab a pizza, a nice bottle of wine and have a nice night in. DO NOT listen to "THOMAS"!!!

I have been going to this store for many many years. I just left there now after questioning why I had a $30 late fee...i rented 7 movies..any idiot would know that I didnt intend to watch them all that evening..I was under the impression that I had 7 days. The manager called me something and I said "did you call me a liar"? and he said "No, but I certainly am impying it, and youre a manipulater trying not to pay"...his words...How can a store manager treat a 10plus years customer this way. I am a business owner in the neighbourhood and will tell everyone I can about this treatment. He wants to lose customers? ok...lets start!!! Rogers is just around the corner with no late fees anyway...This arrogant prick completely ruined my day!
