3 out of 4 people found this review helpful. The concept, I think, is excellent and great for busy people. Gourmet food at fast-food speed, I think. I'm not much of a cook but still would like to serve something half decent (fast) when clients drop by. I had a taste of their beef (organic from Nicaragua? I forget) and it was the best I've ever tasted. Wow. Out of this world. I didn't know beef could be that good. Next I'll sample their sea foods and lamb. I wish they would have some serving suggestions on side dishes and trimmings -- presentation is really important too.
I recommend this place.

5 out of 5 people found this review helpful. Faboulous food once again - this is Toronto's best kept secret. The Osso Buco and Lamb chops are my favourite (so far). I keep trying new items and am impressed. Wow! That's all I have to say.

I had a dinner party on Sat night and went into A Taste Above and bought appetizers, main courses, gourmet pastries and coffees - thankyou for such a delicious meal - it took minutes to serve.

I recommend this place.

6 out of 6 people found this review helpful. I dropped in to this shoppe and was amazed at the selection of gourmet items. I bought items including hors d'ouvres and main dishes and desert at this one-stop gourmet, definately Toronto's secret amongst truly gourmet and culinary elite. While browsing at the selection of gourmet tastes I enjoyed the nicest espresso I ever had, and it was on the house. The friendly and food saavy staff helped me plan an entire meal and it took me 15 minutes to shop and 10 min to serve and plate. Bravo - a shoppe right up my alley - a definate must visit. Love the truffled mushrooms and craberry mustard!
I recommend this place.
