1 out of 4 people found this review helpful. yeah guy. I'm working there right now and just like it's been said "dollarama only cares about making money" and for starters, that place is infested with mice. that is also why none of their damaged products never go to charity. they just throw it out into the garbage. the staff that works there lacks social skills and they fight among each other for store equipment. When I got there, I started cooling the employees down. they all seem pretty stressed out and afraid of their owner. If you try introducing a smarter way to get things done in an efficient way, they will tell you "no the owner doesn't't like that" but he's never there to confirm things either.
So yeah, next time you're buying things at dollarama, think of how hard some people need to work in order to make these dollar products (outside of north america) and think about how we could actually feed third world countries,....easily.

And we could of been feeding them since long time ago. Instead our government makes these cheesy "help and donate" commercials, while dollarama is running their capitalistic show.

but yeah, it seems that if you start a merchant account, you too can easily enjoy the wealth of ripping people off.

I do not recommend this place.

6 out of 8 people found this review helpful. I went to the good ol dollarama today to buy my son some last minute things for his easter basket. I spent a total of $4.52 and gave the lady a $20.00. She gave me back change for a $5.00. I proceeded to explain I had given her a $20. She than called the manager to count her cash. After waiting 10 minutes for this to be done he proceeds to tell me I only gave her a $10 as she is only $5 over. What ever happened to customer is always right? and no arguing with a customer? Obviously the lady on cash was not a mathematical genius as her cash was already out. Also, do you not teach them don't put the money in the drawer until change is given to avoid such circumstances? It is a million dollar corporation but you can't give the customer back the right change and argue with them about it? come on...to them it's only $15.00, to me, its 2 hours worth of work!!! BTW...this store is in Brockville Ontario...

We both work at Dollarama in mall the is not on this list for what ever reason.....our manger treats us like s**it, always tells us that we are to slow, on our days off he makes us work, we work full-time hours every week but they do not want to pay us for full-time wage, many time with in our time that we have worked there we were also told one thing and done another, they can never make up there minds. Me and My friend have lives and with what they paid us it all goes to the government. We need to paid rent and pay food and take care of our selfs. DOLLARAMA ONLY CARES ABOUT MAKING MONEY not the PEOPLE THAT WORK FOR THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!the funniest thing yet is no one cares about us, head office wont do anything for how our manger talks to us, and they dont care how hard we work for them...our x-mas bouns was to pick 9 ideas from the store, i work there why would i need a bouns like that why not give up the nine dollars, they are cheap a*s people that need to have a little bit more respect for the people that work for them. Our manger only cares about some people the rest work like dogs, never get a break and if we do call in sick to work after working the crazy we get yelled at...............so there far i would think about were you shop from now on....now a days you need money to live, in what ever way you live meaning if you are a single parent, living on your own, or paying off OSAP............Thank you for reading me me and my friend just wanted to say what we think about the place that we call work..........

I am danish.I think it's a great store. I miss it over here. Even when it's New year, halloween, what ever season, they have something there.

My mom always buys incense and candles from there, because they're often 2 for 1$, so is the gum and such, so instead of going to the convenient store and buying gum for $1.30, you can buy the same brand, times TWO for $1.14. I also re decorated my whole bathroom with things from the dollarama, at the one near my house. I got a toothbrush holder, soap dispenser, shower curtains, hand towels+cloths, bed sheets I used for door curtains and a floor mat. Now, they don't have very much selection I might add, and the makeup isn't't all that great, but when you need a few things for around the house, and some snacks for a movie, Dollarama is defiantly the place to go, and you do get your money's worth for sure. :)
I recommend this place.

To me this action towards my kids did not do anything wrong. If you want to know more please call John Moysa@780-242-5995 anytime.

Both stores are very clean and well stocked. Staff are helpful and courteous. There are, at times, long lineups at the cash -- even with all the cashiers open. I am always amazed at the merchandise that they offer .... and all for only a buck!
I recommend this place.

I recommend this place.

9 out of 15 people found this review helpful. I could not find a listing for Dollarama-730 Yonge Street, Toronto, so I am inserting my thoughts here.
That place has racist customer service. If you are white, you get greeted with a thank you for your business. BUT if you are a visible minority, good luck. They will be silent, take your money and not even smile. AND, this place is owned by visible minorities and the cashiers are that too! IMAGINE! Would NOT recommend this kind of service to anyone.

Thanks for letting me "talk"

4 out of 10 people found this review helpful. As with all other Dollarama's you walk in here to pick up one thing and end up buying ten. This location has a very good selection of kitchenware and arts and crafts supplies. You can get 741 mL bottles of Coke, juice, Gatorade and other brand name drinks for $1 here too. As usual, they accept cash only. Note: this location is not accessible by wheelchair.
I recommend this place.

6 out of 17 people found this review helpful. Last week my cousin and i spent almost two hours in the store. As with the other dollaramas i've visited, the selection is fantastic. It's incredible the things you can get for a dollar. I bought a scarf, a pair of gloves, a bandana, and a bunch of various craft supplies.
I recommend this place.
