It's Fresh or It's Free
If you find any spoiled item in our store, just bring it to the Customer Service Desk and we'll give you a fresh replacement free of charge. Here's what you need to know about our guarantee:
Products with ‘Best Before Dates’ are not fresh on the day shown. For example, if the ‘Best Before Date’ is September 1st, it is not fresh on September 1st.
Fresh replacements are provided instantly. If a fresh replacement is not available, an alternative item of similar value will be substituted. Rain checks will not be issued. Fresh replacements are limited to the first item free.
With multiple items like a bad banana in a bunch, we’ll replace the individual item.
For the guarantee to be valid, a purchase is required of equal or greater dollar value than the ‘fresh or free’ replacements in a single shopping transaction, excluding the ‘fresh or free’ replacements. For example, if the total shopping purchase (excluding the ‘fresh or free’ replacements) in a single transaction is $10.00, you may receive up to $10.00 of ‘fresh or free’ replacements.
The guarantee applies to same day shopping only.
The following items are excluded from the guarantee:
Reduced items: we acknowledge that these are not in optimal condition.
Damaged items.
Berries: the fragility of this product makes it impossible for us to guarantee freshness in every container.
Naturally occurring imperfections that don’t affect freshness:
Produce with minor bruises and discolouration
Organically grown produce
Extra ripe produce
We reserve the right to make final decisions.

In 1935, the Company established its head office in Toronto on Laughton Avenue, which was eventually moved in 1960 to its current location on
Dundas St. W. in Etobicoke, ON.

A&P Canada exited the Quebec market in 1984 and a year later acquired Dominion stores and another distribution centre. The Company continued its acquisitions with the purchase of Miracle Food Mart and Ultra Food Mart in 1989, and The Barn Markets, based in Hamilton, in 1995.

Also in 1995, the Company opened its first discount store, Food Basics. The store appealed to customers seeking greater value and lower prices on their grocery items. A&P Canada Co. was acquired by Metro Inc. in August 2005. Metro is a leading Canadian food retailer and distributor with operations concentrated in Québec and Ontario.

Today, A&P Canada Co. operates 135 fresh stores under the Dominion, A&P,
Ultra Food & Drug and The Barn Markets stores and 101 Food Basics stores and employs over 30,000 employees in Ontario.

The best Dominion Store(College Park)in downtown wide varieties of food products,clean,huge space to move around,I usually buy Chinese Pear in China Town,not any more.Whenever the Chinese pear is on sale I buy it here because is cheap,but ordinary day I shop here for grocery most of the time.Dominion Store is my favourite grocery (any Dominion near to me)particularly this Store#63.
