In my experience it's a fantastic store. The international brands they carry don't compare to the hum-drum house products carried by the major supermarkets. Re:I got home with six-day expired milk and four-day expired yogurt. What kind of savvy consumer are you??? You should be checking all products with an expiry date-at any store-at any time. That includes meats and nuts and any other packaging that is required to carry a" BEST BEFORE DATE" It's like picking up a dozen eggs with the BEST BEFORE DATE ywo days later. You simply return it back to where you picked it up from and get something newer. Re:Staff was unfriendly You want friendly people?...join a friendship club. I found the people quite informed about the products that I'm looking for. The staff were not friendly nor unfriendly compared to any other major supermarket. Re: refried beans From Wikipedia: Ingredients and preparation Refried beans are prepared with either black or pinto beans - not red beans (Livi). Once the beans have been prepared charola style (i.e. the raw beans are soaked overnight and then stewed) they are drained of most of the remaining liquid, converted into a paste with a bean masher (same as a potato masher, or in its absence, a fork or the back of a large flat spoon) and fried with lard, It's like saying I want bacon but wished it didn't come from pork. Bottom line: Take advantage of the good deals and the varieties offered. The international brands offered are awesome. Be a Savvy consumer!!! OR................. Checkout HIGHLAND FARMS. Note to those that run Fiesta Farms, open up a few more stores!!! Three legged chickens anyone? " I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

The store layout is awkward and unlike most grocery stores. Staff was unfriendly and the overall feel was disorganized. Most importantly, however, I got home with six-day expired milk and four-day expired yogurt. When I called management agreed to an exchange/refund but was unapologetic.

The turkey and chicken are real value. I routinely make a poultry run and purchase 20 to 40 Lbs of chicken and turkey for less then $50.00 and it is all the meat I need for the month. Moreover, brand names items are the cheapest of all the five supermarkets that I shop. I shopped at: No Frills at Dufferin mall, Price Chopper at Galleria mall, IGA at Dupount and Shaw and loblaws at Christie and Dupount and I have that Fiesta farms is the best best quality for the low price. This neighbourhood grocery store has way better prices for produce that the nearby Loblaws. The last of a dying breed, this independent grocer has a great selection of foods, including a variety of ethnic groceries, an antipasti table, and produce, including a hearty organic section. They also have a fabulous lawn and garden centre across the street that sells stuff year-round, from Christmas trees to spring bulbs. Parking is available.
