I went into the store at 1 First Canadian Place recently looking at Boxing Week Sales (which I might add, this store was the only one that did not have any Boxing Week Sales). I wanted to see their selection anyway. Given that this store is usually empty, it gave me a change to browse freely. The lady behind the sales desk never once looked up from reading whatever magazine. I saw a very expensive sweater I liked and asked her out of curiosity why nothing was on sale in the store. Her cold response was "well, I guess that's just the way things are" and she went back to reading her magazine. Great customer service!!! I have no desire to go in there again. I also find the staff at the Commerce Court West location a bit snobby too. I think this store finds the snobs and hires them to represent them. Go back to Holt Renfrew!! I happened to go to a movie at Bayview shopping centre on Jan. 18th.....We live in Markham so I am not familiar with "Legs Beautiful " On leaving the theatre I noticed the sale display and quickly chose a white shell....Sale price 20.51. ) When I got it home in better light I realized it was filthy across the shoulders....It has never been worn and will take extreme effort to remove the yellow discolouration . I phoned on Monday to talk to the manager ...with absolutely no satisfaction...I felt it very deceptive to sell an article in that condition at any time unless you were paying me to wash it.I of course would never trust your store again... I am relieved to express my opinion....and feel the customer service was not worth the negative publicity and thought a reliable company would understand that. Thank you.
