Bought a pair of Lowa boots at the store to go trekking in Laos. The service at the store was good before purchase, but poor for their after purchase. Though the boots were comfortable, one of the lace eyelets ripped from the leather while lacing them up and the other was beginning to go. The boots were approximately 2-3 weeks old then and hardly worn. We took them back to the store after returning from our trip, 2 months after purchase to have them fixed under warranty. Kathy, who was handling the warranties, would not honour the warranty and claimed that the boots suffered wear & tear and were abused, even though they were not and especially given the time frame we had them, and because it was 0.5 size too large, it was therefore deemed improper fit and therefore had voided the warranty. It was pointed out to the sales rep before purchase that they were a bit too big but they did not have the right size in the store before we had to leave for the trip. We went ahead with the purchase but were not warned about voiding the warranty. They end up countering that with "buyer beware." Our follow-up phone calls after dropping the boots off were not pleasant as she raised her voice unnecessarily, avoided giving us information regarding warranty after she said it was available on a website, and hung up on us. It seems like a good store in respect to the pre-sale support but poor on the post-sale support. Will not be returning or recommending this store to others. So "buyer beware" to all of you. I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

I buy Lowa backpacking boots here every time I wear mine out. Best boots ever. Staff are great at helping you pick the right boot for your needs. Don't go anywhere else for boots. Avoid other brands. Lowa is comfortable from the moment you put them on. No breaking in time required. Great store, although pricey.

Wouldn't exchange a gift Yaktrax Pro bought 4 Xmas in early December for a larger size, because their policy is that because it was a shoe accessory I would have been informed, and it is on the receipt, 2 weeks exchange only. The young lady I spoke to when I called about an exchange seemed to have quite an attitude and was well very rude in my opinion. Not a pleasent person at all. No way would I recommend this store to anyone, in fact I shall spread the word to boycot this store altogether. This is a Bah Humbug store!!! No stars from me. I do not recommend this place.
