HISTORY

Bakery18 opened on Wednesday, July 19, 2006. In the Chinese culture, “18” is a lucky number: not only that, it is easy to remember and easy to read. Located on the lower level of the Atrium on Bay, Bakery18 serves as Toronto’s entrance to an assortment of Asian snacks and treats.

Bakery18 is an establishment that combines traditional ingredients with modern innovation.

Bakery18 is able to offer the best-baked goods in Toronto and for the last several months in the downtown core, Bakery18 has defined a new standard in the food industry: the growing concept of Fresh, Friendly and Fast service

Shoppers from the Eaton Centre, workers from nearby offices and businesses and travelers who filter through the subway or the nearby bus terminal see for the first time a bakery with a clean and contemporary décor filled with over 100 different items on sale. Since its introduction, Bakery18 has brought freshly baked buns combined with friendly and convenient service to patrons who are always on the go. There is nothing quite like a good bun – a Chinese pastry bun, that is. The round, glazed snacks,desserts,cookies,pastries & more, price point from $1.25 up, a little bit more expensive than the Chinatown bakeries (open items on the shelves to choose from) But in this establishment every bread is in a nice see true individual wrapper on the shelves, and they to have nice packaging too.

Excellent Coconut Cream Bun & they have free sample to taste before you buy it.You can pick which one you want to taste, or you come after 6:00 pm everyday buy 6 (any pastries item) $6.00 only!!!

This brightly lit Bakery18 is so clean,modern,wide open shelves & displayed of all the items,easily accessible to clients,friendly staff,convenient location.

I recommend this place.
