So sorry to learn of your demise. visiting Sams for new music was a big contribution to my and my husbands happy marriage, from the 60s to the 90s. thanks.

Sam's also contains a cafe with coffee, espresso, iced cream and sandwiches, and in the summer they have a huge barbecue menu being served outside on their patio. The staff is great, with different people manning the grills every summer. There's also free wi-fi throughout the cafe and the store.

The prices here are a bit higher than what you'd pay at any of the big chain music stores, but Sam's has a lot of hard-to-find music and DVDs. Their classical section is excellent, with a very knowledgeable staff.

Sam's is a great place to find rare CDs and the like if you don't have time to scour through the racks at the indie stores. Even though the selection is not as expansive as neighbour HMV, it definitely has more of the rare and unusual stuff. Service is friendly and helpful for the most part.
