I was just in there this evening and had one of the rudest experiences of my life. My boyfriend and I were interested in purchasing a board game. We looked at their selection and were careful with handling the products. We would slide a board game out, look at it, then slide it back in. We were approached by the manager who asked in a rather rude tone if he could help us locate a game. My boyfriend politely replied that we were just looking at the moment but thank you for the help. The manager then told us that we were no longer allowed to take the boxes out because we bumped the other boxes which "ruins the games, thus making him unable to sell them" We were taken back by this statement. My boyfriend then replied that we would just leave to where the manager throws his arms in the air and tells us "good riddance, I don't want your kind in my store." We were so stunned, my boyfriend then tells him that we have purchased items in this store before and have spent well over $300 there (in fact we've never had an issue with the store until tonight). The manager's reply was "Pfff $300 is just pennies to us!" He then continued his rant of not wanting "our kind" in the store, whatever that meant, and swearing at us. I will be calling management of the building come Monday and I will definitely never ever go in that store ever again. I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? The staff / owner were extremely rude and very derogatory and basically asked us if we could afford to buy the item before he would even attempt to take it down from the shelf for us to look at the toy. The box was extremely large and he would not assist us with it and would not allow us to rest it anywhere. When my mother who was very elderly and was buying the gift for her grandson asked him to assist her with the box, he stated that he was not our slave. We left without the globe and with the male staff swearing at us. There was a very disappointed little boy. I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |
