Slightly underwhelming....Great for the uber trendy holistic consumer....The food displays compel you to consume, but the prices are often prohibitive for the average shopper. A great place to check out new organic products. I would recommend their cafe, off of the store, for a great Sat.breakfast!

I loved Whole Foods in Toronto their makeup section is amazing. I finally got to use perfum because it was natural and came in a great little box. And thier lip gloss comes in a variety of colors and doesn't smell discusting...and thier whitening toothpaste rocks

so apparently there are only two whole foods market's in canada, and one just so happens to be in downtown toronto. the store isn't particularly big, but as soon as you enter you can already tell its not your typical grocery store. they have things that are very difficult to normally find such as extra virgin coconut oil and acai berry products. the displays look very nice and they make sure everything is fresh and clean. the prices are above average but that should be expected for the exotic food items that are difficult to find elsewhere. great place for food allergy sufferers.

Okay, I have to admit, my favorite thing about Whole Foods is the samples. If you are lucky you might get samples of exotic cheeses, like mustard seed Gouda, or yummy ripe bing cherries and heirloom tomatoes. At the very least you are guaranteed a bite of rice crisp or popcorn. But seriously, Whole Foods is a delight for the health conscious consumer or vegetarian. I love their wide variety of organic fruits and veggies, gluten-free products, organic meats and other hard to find foodstuffs. Much of what you'll find is very expensive but you might be surprised, some things are actually less expensive then other health food stores (like Noah's). I would highly recommend checking out this place for all those products you just can't find anywhere else (like organic cheeses, goat's milk, corn tortillas, rice pasta, organic soy yogurt, and etc., etc.) I recommend this place. If you're a foodie, you have to visit this gourmet food shop. You won't find cheap no name brands here - just the best in natural and gourmet groceries and produce. The displays are gorgeous, and the staff work tirelessly to make every pile of potatoes look appetizing. They have an awesome takeout counter with dozens of items you can buy by the pound if you want a gourmet meal at home without the fuss. Salads, pastas, meat, entrees, hors d'oevres, and more are expensive, but delicious.

Top of the food chain, or at least as far as I know! Whole Foods is like a higher end Dominions and Loblaws. A lot of their products (for example, anything that is packaged) is the same, but it's sold at a higher price here. And often, they have a lot of products that you can't find elsewhere (e.g. a better chocolate milk) but of course relatively expensive. If the prices were fairer, I would give it a 5... but i guess you can't have good location, service, and the best products for the same price as elsewhere, right? They also have a great cheese variety, and almost always a sample too. The same variety goes for breads, sausages, and dairy products in general (epecially Yogurt). And of course, this is probably the #1 place for organic products and great for gourmet foods. Oh, and very clean, I must say. I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Rather expensive, Whole Foods is the best place to get organic food, from peanut better to meats to fruits. I come here often when wanting to make a nice meal.
