I love Downtown Pets & Aquarium! As an experienced aquarium hobbyist I've tried all the aquarium shops in Toronto and this is by far the best. Well maintained, great selection, clean, friendly and professional. The staff (I get the impression it's a family business) are all actually quite well versed in the technical aspects of the hobby, and they've even had obscure replacement parts for old equipment on hand when I needed it! The more I go there the more I'm impressed, and as they've gotten to know me they remember who I am and what I'm interested in. The prices of the actual fish are somewhat high. However, in my opinion it's worth it knowing that they've been properly kept and are healthy. That cost is also offset by not having to travel far out of downtown to go there. Highly recommended!
