I went to Mediterra for dinner with some friends and we had a very good time. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, with a village mural covering the back wall and all of their fish on display for your viewing pleasure (actually I wasn't too fond of seeing uncooked fish but some people might like it). The food was delicious. We started with the octopus appetizer and then I had a delicious Chilean Sea Bass ($26) with grilled veggies, rappini and potatoes. Everone enjoyed their meals, including lobster risotto, shrimp scampi and steak. The waiter wa great, very friendly and attentive. If you like hot, toasty subs be sure to check out quiznos subs. Whatever location you go to the quality will be equal, I just happen to have been this one several times. I especially like their veggie, with guacamole and two types of cheeses - delicious but definitely not good for you. However, stay away from their salads and soups - overpriced and very mediocre. Ichiban is a nice little sushi restaurant located near Harbourfront Centre. I was only there once but the waitress was very nice, the food was enjoyable and prices were reasonable (pretty average as far as sushi places go).

This Sobeys may be small but it has everything you need - convenient for a quick stop at the grocery store before heading to the beaches.

I would recommend this hotel to you if you are looking for a stay close to harbourfront, the cn tower, the rogers centre and the air canada centre. But, if you are looking for a downtown location with lots of nightlife nearby I would say chose something like the Hyatt, the Mariott, the Hilton or the Sheraton. If you are lucky, you will get a view of lake Ontario but other then that there is nothing fantastic about the Westin.
