The food is pretty good and well presented though the cafeteria atmosphere on the ground floor cheapens the place quite a lot; that is really doing it a disservice. To be honest, nobody really goes here for the hotel aspect - its all about the bar & lounge & cafe & dining room. Their in queen west to capitalise on the artistic culture in that area and to some extent to gentrify it. the place has a nice yet relaxed interior and decent food though it is a little overpriced and there is a lot of hype surrounding everything that goes on here. If you get past the hype the place is adequite but you'll have to ignore all the pretence exhibited by a lot of the crowd they tend to draw - particularly when there is a cultural event going on. The beer on tap is a lousy selection, and the service is crappy. that being said - the wings are highly rated and the place isn't expensive. Its a staple for students at the south end of UofT campus. They tend to get super busy for business lunches too or when a game is on - since they have a decent big screen tv. Usualy its pretty quiet. The food is pretty good here including an all day breakfast - and isn't expensive. The staff is helpful too. the place isnt really a party destination but its nice if you're looking for a quiet and clean bar to go grab some food at. I do not recommend this place. 	2 out of 4 people found this review helpful. They're always open - very handy. That includes the kitchen - its great after a night of partying to go wind down there and get some very tasty food. The atmosphere is very dark and intimate throughout and there is a heated patio available too. Sometimes its almost pitch black inside except for the small candle on yoru table - once you sit with a date you cant see beyond your table which can make things very intimate indeed. The ambient music they play is usualy pretty good too. The only poblem is the extremely narrow staircase (you'll know it when it happens) I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? There is usualy a lineup though because they are usually the cheapest option and have the best selection. This place is highly reccomended - unless you need any customer support. The place tends to get packed when the clubs close since their open until around 4am too. Not the best food in the world but a great deal. I recommend this place. Was this review helpful?
