The Metro Toronto Zoo - September 16, 2006
5 out of 7 people found this review helpful. Been to the Toronto Zoo few years ago and I enjoyed it. I went with my family but I know people who have gone there for dates also.
If you are an animal lover, you will love the place. It is quite large but then it has to be in order for the animals to have a "better" life.
It is good to see different animals once in a while even if it is pricey!

I recommend this place.

Hollister Co. - July 25, 2006
11 out of 19 people found this review helpful. I did not like the store at all.
I went to see it once and never will I go again.

If you like mass produced clothes that every other person on the street wears then it's ok.
If you do not like having logos than it is definitely not for you. Also it is only casual clothing from what I noticed. All the clothing looked the same to me ...

The store was very dark... how can one see what they are really getting? Yes intimate atmosphere but remember EVERYONE and EVERYTHING looks better in dim light.
It was also too crowded. No one approached me from their associates, they rather seemed more interested in their walkie-talkies.

I do not think this is a good store to shop.

I do not recommend this place.

Continental Tower - July 25, 2006
8 out of 11 people found this review helpful. It is an ok building for the rents they have. Apartments are good size for the price. If you get a higher floor, the view is very nice.
However, the elevators are quite bad. Managers cannot give you an answer to anything. The superindent is nice and you dont have to wait for repairs long.
Pool is great, however the so called saunas and gym are not used by anyone, im sure there is a reason for that! Lockers are rather scary.
No pest problems. Great location.
They are decent apartments for the price.

I recommend this place.

Air Canada Centre - July 20, 2006
6 out of 10 people found this review helpful. I saw a concert, hockey and basketball game there.
For a concert, it is a huge venue and do not expect to see a lot when your seats aren't very good but sound is ok, and with cheaper tix you will have to sit through it.
Hockey game was awesome, had upper seats yet really enjoyed the game, could see well and all.
Basketball was as enjoyable as hockey. Easy to find your seats but bring enough cash for the ridiculous food and drink prices!

I recommend this place.

Exhibition Place - July 18, 2006
9 out of 13 people found this review helpful. I recommend this place to kids and their parents. Definitely not a place for people in their 20s as there isnt much to do there for them besides the rides (that well we know have some kind of an accident every year).
There are farm animals, food building with average food court, shopping - its the odds and ends from mall stores that they wanna sell out at the end of the season for cheap; some international stores that you can basically find on yonge street every day, etc. Then there are the arts and crafts, unless you are a collector of something I dont know what you can really buy there. All this was $10 last year likely $12 this year. Rides are separate from admission. Medieval times costs separately. CNE admission does get you Ontario place admission.
Again great for families, kids, older folks. Not much to do for 20-30 year olds.

I do not recommend this place.

Not Just Noodles - July 17, 2006
3 out of 3 people found this review helpful. I have never eaten inside...it does not have the greatest appeal from the outside however I have ordered from there many times and have never been disappointed. Their prices are good. Two can order in for $17 when order family meal - entree, rice, soup, spring roll for each. Their staff is friendly as far as ordering goes.

Good for chilling with friends and ordering chinese to go with your beer ;)

I recommend this place.

O'Grady's Restaurant - July 17, 2006
3 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Every time my friends and I decide to go there for dinner we end up going across the street. Service is not the best. Also, we can never find anything appealing on the menu to order besides the wings...hence if it is not wings night we seriously go across the street to Firkin where its amazing. This has happened 3 times in a row for me and I do not attempt to go there again. I guess you can give it a try but I do not recommend going unless it's a wings night.
I do not recommend this place.

O'Grady's Tap & Grill - July 17, 2006
1 out of 3 people found this review helpful. I would recommend the place for watching a game or going there during university functions. It is very happening when a function is on. Food is decent, usual pub-style. Also good for lunch. The staff is not the greatest, got charged extra without my waitor letting me know that would be the case for my request. Oh yeah, it is great for St. Patty's Day!
I recommend this place.

Future Bakery & Cafe-Annex - July 17, 2006
4 out of 4 people found this review helpful. I looove Future's bakery. Their lunch/dinner are good portions, very tasty and very well priced. It is great to enjoy lunch with friends or go for a piece of cake and coffee. Their cheesecakes are DELICIOUS. You can get a piece for appx $5 and it's worth it! The place is a bit small but the patio is great and staff is friendly.
I recommend this place.

Frans Restaurant - July 17, 2006
1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. This place was ok. Nothing special, frankly I was expecting more. Food was average, not bad and not great. Selection was not the best... I think one is better off going to a regular pub and finding similar or even better menu. Service was slow, I think it took us 15mins to get the attention of our waitress to ask for a drink and it was not busy at all. An entree with a drink (non alcoholic) come to about $17-20. Like I said, a pub may be a better choice.
I do not recommend this place.

Cafe Crepe - July 17, 2006
6 out of 7 people found this review helpful. It was a nice place to catch up with a friend and enjoy crepes and coffee. Prices are decent. Do not expect icing sugar on your sweet crepes - they do not have it, hehe. Overall, it was a nice choice for lunch!
I recommend this place.

Sushi On Bloor - March 31, 2006
1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Great food. I have never been disappointed by the food.
However I recommend reservations during busy times, you do not wanna get stuck crammed by the sushi bar or waiting for 45mins on table without one...it happened to me.
Take-out is a great option, 15% off on take-out.
Very popular place.

I recommend this place.
