Kristina is one of the most talented hair dressers I have ever been to. She was in hair school in Hungary for 3 YEARS! Give her a call and set up an appointment, she is very nice. Men's cuts are $20 womens are $40 and up. It is in the yellow building (Electra Lofts) across from the future location of DNA3.

Robarts was originally designed to look like a peacock. if you look at it from some obscure angles it kind of does. When going into robarts, remember that this is a STUDENT institution and dont expect to get much help unless you are either a student or an academic. Massive volumes of information are being held here. And no, its not sinking from the weight of the books. That is just a rumour. I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Dufferin Mall - |

Firstly, lets mention that it has a WINNERS! Not something you can find just anywhere. This one has a pretty good selection as the area is lower income than others so the better stuff is left on the racks. While not the most prestegious mall to venture to, Duffering mall has what most shoppers need in a small space. You can go get your groceries at no-frills and from there walk over to the Walmart for your house supplies, from there you can go to the sparce food court and grab a meal. Its a fairly small mall, but who wants to transverse 4 floors to find something. The busyest time of the month is at the end when people are getting their welfare payments. Dont expect to be able to get in the door of the beer store at that time either. Grocery shopping on a saturday or sunday is hopeless. Prices are fairly good in the mall overall to match the area. I started off at sushi time on bloor 7 years ago when i moved to Toronto and have been to the one here on queen once. It has been newly renovated and the staff are fast to attend and their service is friendly. Prices seem to be about 130% more than usual sushi places but the decor makes up for it. we ended up stopping in for two sides of Maki Sushi and a drink and paid $13 with tip. not bad for a snack.

We go this mall at least once every two weeks, if we cant find something at a mall near us, they will certainly have it at the eatons centre. Floors are as follows, the sub basement (-2) has only a food court and a few small stores, the basement (-1) caters to the younger crowd with the urban behaviors and transits; Ground level (1) caters to the middle class individual with the tristan and co and jacob stores. Second Level (2) caters to the chi-chi croud with the high end stores like LuLu Lemon Bebe and Harry Rosen. Two full food courts and two access points to the Subway stations one at each end of the mall for each feature.

The Guvernment - |

There are two reasons people go to the guvernment and one isn't legal so lets steer clear of that one. The Guvernment is an awesome place to party and meet friends. I met my wife there and I know of three other people who have met their life partners there. Fridays are mostly hip hop, saturdays are progressive downstairs and housy trance upstairs. Expect a fun crowd downstairs and a dressy "dont mess up my shirt/dress" crowd upstairs. mark oliver is by far one of the most layed back, but inspirational, DJs in north america. he has played private parties for Madonna, Lenny Cravitz and many other big name stars. Its always worth checking out at least once. The whole venue holds 6500 people on average. the Guvernment / Drink accounts for 2500 of that and on most saturdays you will find between 1500 and 2000 people there. Drinks are expensive, but hey its a bar in Toronto, expect nothing less. You will have a good time if you love to dance and meet people.

We went to the rom to see the BodyWorlds exhibit, it was breathtaking. The visualization made available by this man is awesome. The building itself is nice. The Bodyworlds exhibit was $12 for entry and parking was $8, but i felt it was worth it. Art inspires us all.

I found the guided tour bland and uninspired. The dull voice on the recorder was boring, the furniture had almost all been removed from the castle. Not much of a castle if you ask me. Any palace or castle in europe would trump this place without even blinking. Cost is $12 to get in. Expect to wait to get into some rooms as the line-ups can be daunting.

We have been here once and it was unbeleivable! The food was to die for, Definately worth the 5 stars! Much more pricy than other places in the area. Had a Zebra Lobster infused pasta, I was druling the whole way through my meal. The appetizers are awesome and the staff is very accomidating (they dont serve fries at night, but for us, hey we got em!). Drinks are on the high end of average price. 4 of us played pool and ate for 3 hours and it came to about $180.

We go to the Banknote about once a month. Prices are decent, about $30 a couple with 1 alcoholic drink each. Expect to wait, not too too long, for service as the place can get busy. The Picolla Calzone is my favorite, great amount of cheese and filling. My wife enjoys the angus beef burger, she says its nice and juicy!

Suser, being an exceptional chef, has opened this restaurant directly next door to his other restaurant, Lee. Both exceptional places to eat, i highly recommend either one.
