I went into the store at 1 First Canadian Place recently looking at Boxing Week Sales (which I might add, this store was the only one that did not have any Boxing Week Sales). I wanted to see their selection anyway. Given that this store is usually empty, it gave me a change to browse freely. The lady behind the sales desk never once looked up from reading whatever magazine. I saw a very expensive sweater I liked and asked her out of curiosity why nothing was on sale in the store. Her cold response was "well, I guess that's just the way things are" and she went back to reading her magazine. Great customer service!!! I have no desire to go in there again. I also find the staff at the Commerce Court West location a bit snobby too. I think this store finds the snobs and hires them to represent them. Go back to Holt Renfrew!!
