Whilst entering we were not acknowledged by anyone for up to 5 mins. After seating, we were 'pointed' to the buffet. The buffet was poor in taste, very basic. A very shameful selection for a Brazilian restaurant. After waiting for 10 mins for the waiter to serve us, only to taste bland and unseasoned meat. Even British food tastes better than the food of this Brazilian restaurant. I think its due to the fact that its not owned by a Brazilian. The restaurant does not give a warm feeling. Brazilians in general are warm hearted people, but the people of this restaurant, mostly not Brazilians, are totally opposite. When we complained about the food, the night manager 'Danny' had the audacity to tell us that our pallet was not up to par that evening and it had nothing to do with the food. Gobsmacked by the comments we expected that he would provide us a solution to the soured taste in both food and service. Bad service, bad food. The chef, poorly dressed and lacking any common sense. If you want real Brazilian food, go to Brazilian Star, its a hole in the wall but you can get an amazing meal for $12, a quarter. Even the toilets at the Red Violin were disgusting and totally unclean with a foul smell of urine. I sincerely hope that the manager Mikey from the Red Violin actually opens his eyes if he wishes to continue business. People, don't waste your time, its not worth the trip to this sh1thole. On the way out we noticed a Where Toronto award about the restaurant being memorable, yeah memorable for being the worst restaurant I have ever visited in Toronto. I do not recommend this place.
