Yes Salad King is very very bad. This little place, well not so little anymore, was once a good friend. Not only to me but to those hungry vegetarian Ryerson students. Well let me tell you. I went to check out the newly renovated Salad King and ordered some vegetarian dishes. I asked out of habit to ensure that there would be no chicken or fish stock lurking in my food. Good thing I did. The girl who is the daughter of the owner informed me that some of the dishes labelled vegetarian are made from fish stock. Some days they are made with vegetable stock. So I guess you have a 50/50 chance of remaining a vegetarian at Salad King. I am getting really frustrated with the stupidity and insensivity of the restaurant staff in this city. Since when was a fish considered a vegetable???? Try reading a book people. To be more specific I will list the dishes that Salad King falsely lists as vegetarian. Evil Jungle Prince contains fish stock, Emerald Curry sometimes contains fish stock and the Spicy Tofu contains fish stock. Wake up and smell the difference between a living creature and a vegetable.
