This is the mcdonald's of steak houses. You live in a big city like Toronto and you think this place serves good food then you don't get out much.

Why eat here when there are so many good restaurants in the city??? The food is poor quality for the price. You can go to a much better place for a fancy meal and a much cheaper place for a cheap meal. Don't even attempt to eat here if you are a vegetarian as they put bacon even in the vegetables. eeks A very pedestrian place.

I go here for the music, beer and veggie burgers. They have amazing bands for low covers, great service and a wondefully cool atmosphere. Whoever you are you will feel comfortable in this setting.

A newfie bar that plays more then eastern music. The place has been cleaned up and has a dance floor. They have live bands with no cover on the weekends playing country, rock and 50's-60's type music. The DJ between sets will play requests and plays a variety of top/80's etc. hits between sets. A casual local place to hang and drink a beer or get your middle-age groove on.

I used to go here for vegan pizza slices but now Pizziolo is better. The best pizza is at Magic Oven but that can be expensive so for cheap good pizza try Pizziolo.

This restaurant has moved to 885 Dundas West. The new restaurant is a little bigger and fancier then the last location. The food is wondeful that is all that I can say. It is a vegetarian, mainly vegan restaurant that is a little more upscale to eat in. The prices are higher then other veg restaurants but well worth it. The menu is large and they have a great web site you can check out.I have been going here since they opened.

I have had pizza delivered from this location and sat in the location on Danforth (near Pape-east of pape?). The pizza is amazing but the prices just keep going up. They actually have a pizza priced at over $100 on the menu. Granted it is all organic salami and so forth but come on. The location on Danforth is nice to sit in and the food was good. The waitress even made me a soy latte. They have vegan cakes but they are often stale, I guess people don't buy them often. If that is the case then either order less cake, don't sell it when it is stale and or just don't offer vegan cake if it is not selling. I will still go there for pizza because they have good pizza to put it bluntly that is healthy too but watch your prices when ordering. Also sit in because delivery can take forever and the pizza is cold, if you are paying that kind of money you are better off to sit in and eat it.

Good food and variety just too busy sometimes. If you go try and get a booth otherwise you are sitting on someone's lap.

This is a vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options. It is supposed to be the oldest veg. restaurant in Canada as it has been open for 30 plus years. The food is varied with a focus on mild south indian food. You can eat a healthy macro plate, veggie burger, onion soup or my favourite indian dinner for two. They have daily lunch and dinner specials and are not licensed. Try the soy chai tea it is to die for. They also have a vegan chocolate tofu pie that is amazing. It is a simple place but very clean and calm with a small waterfall inside.

One of my favourite restaurants in the city. The food is basically all vegan, cheap and yummy. The setting is simple but the portions are huge. The servers are super friendly and super fast. Some of my favourite foods are the hot and sour soup, watercress, noodles with bean sprouts, egg plant and ginger, and the sweet and sour faux pork balls. I have gone with veg and non veg friends and they all love this place.

I too was lied to at this place. I did specify that I was a vegan and gently explained what that meant to the server. I was told that the dish always met these specifications and that they were always vegan. Of course the next time I went in I found out that I had been lied to. I have several vegetarian friends that had the same experience and only found out the truth from other blogs/web sites that review restaurants. The fault is with the staff/management/owners of the restaurant. They may not know what vegan/vegetarian means but it has been explained to them and they simply lie when it suits them. The food is over rated anyway. For good thai food try "Jean's Vegetarian Kitchen" on Danforth. If desperate try Spring Rolls as at least they understand the terms vegetarian and vegan.
